Way of the Hunter 2 has expanded its Early Access content with a new major update that brings Kilimaya Reserve, a completely new African hunting ground covering 100 km². It is a diverse area that combines plateaus, forests, open grasslands, swamps, shrublands, and dry regions, along with additional locations such as ancient stone ruins, remote villages, viewpoints, and hidden cave paintings.
Early Access Update 2 also introduces twelve new animal species. Among them are the greater kudu, blue wildebeest, Nile crocodile, spotted hyena, blesbok, Cape mountain zebra, hippopotamus, honey badger, southern lion, South African ostrich, Cape African buffalo, and southern yellow-billed duck.
The update also introduces additional equipment and new characters with their own stories, making Kilimaya Reserve not just a new hunting zone, but also a content expansion of the existing experience. Notably, the anatomically more accurate models of animals stand out, with male and female specimens now better reflecting real biological differences in appearance.
Way of the Hunter 2 is available in Early Access on Steam, and the full patch notes for the second update are available on the official THQ Nordic website.
