Atari continues to expand its European business, and Andreas Deptolla takes on a new leadership role in the region.

Atari has announced that Andreas Deptolla has been appointed president of Atari Europe, a new position within the company where he will report directly to Wade Rosen, chairman and CEO of Atari. In this role, Deptolla will oversee the company's increasingly strong presence in Europe, including development studios in the United Kingdom and Sweden, as well as business operations in Germany. Rosen emphasized that Deptolla has established himself as an important and influential leader since joining Atari in 2023 and added that in his expanded role, he will have a key task in repositioning Atari as a recognizable gaming and pop culture brand.

Deptolla will continue to lead the recently established European headquarters in Münster, which also serves as an important technology center for the company. There, technological products such as MobyGames, one of the most comprehensive databases of video games, are being developed, and the headquarters connects Atari's global business with development resources in India. Deptolla joined Atari in August 2023 as chief technology officer, after a career leading technology and innovation projects on an international level. Before coming to Atari, he was president and board member of ThrivePass, which he co-founded in 2014, and he is currently also a board member of the HR tech company Wishlist and the publisher Apogee Entertainment. According to him, Europe represents a significant potential for Atari, not only as a gaming market but also as a space for new talent, partnerships, and further growth of the company.
