Medic: Pacific War is a tactical survival simulation where we take on the role of Thomas Mayer, an American military medic on the Pacific front during World War II. It is also an early access title, but despite that, in a few hours of playing, I have seen some good ideas and potential.

This war game is different from others because here we do not participate in combat personally but try to save as many of our comrades as possible and take them to military hospitals.

The controls here are a bit clumsy, to be honest, but that can be forgiven because some ideas in the gameplay have a dose of originality and are a breath of fresh air in this genre of games. Also, the mechanics are quite different from each other, and the developers have included some mini-games that can be frustrating until you get the hang of them, but afterwards, they are easy to master.

The graphics are solid in my opinion and serve their purpose, and the design slightly reminds me of Medal of Honor games, which adds a sense of realism and has that gritty war feel. The voice acting fits well with the visual style, although sometimes it doesn't seem very convincing if you look too closely at the details.

As for performance, there are quite a few bugs, and the game crashed on me once, but the developers warned about this before I started playing, so it can be expected that they will fix it in the future. Also, the movement of the main character is a bit strange and may not sit well with everyone, but over time you get used to it.

My impression of this early version of the game is that it has potential. I liked the originality that can positively surprise some players, but I also believe that bugs should be fixed and it should be made clearer what exactly is expected of us during gameplay, as in some parts you waste time until you figure out where to actually go while controlling our main character.

I hope the developers continue to develop the game and make it a great experience for all players eager for a good virtual simulation experience from World War II.
