The mobile version of the popular survival hit Rust continues to gain momentum. Level Infinite and Facepunch Studios, the license holder, have announced that Rust Mobile has surpassed three million pre-registrations globally, ahead of the second beta test scheduled for August.

The exact testing schedule will be announced later, but it is already clear that the second beta test will represent a significant expansion compared to the first closed beta. Access is planned to be opened in North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

From The Game Awards to three million players

Rust Mobile was introduced to a wider audience with a cinematic trailer on the stage of The Game Awards 2025, followed by the first closed beta in selected regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. This first beta gave players a glimpse into the mobile approach to survival, combat, crafting, and unpredictable encounters among players. With over three million registered players, the second beta test is the next step in expanding the Rust experience to a global audience.

The game on mobile devices carries the tension of the original Rust through touch-optimized systems, redesigned controls, a user interface optimized for mobile screens, and progression tailored for shorter sessions. The core of the game remains the same: resource gathering, crafting, combat, base building, raiding, and unpredictable interactions with other players.

Thirteen languages and more accessible gameplay

To better support a wider audience, the second beta test will offer localization in 13 languages: English, Russian, German, Turkish, French, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Indonesian, Japanese, and Arabic.

Compared to the first closed beta, the second test brings a broader range of changes designed to make the survival experience more accessible to new players, while offering more ways for experienced players to explore, build, and survive. This includes easier gameplay options, beginner-friendly systems, and a wider selection of tools and items in the game.

More details about the testing schedule, registration, supported platforms, and changes in the game will be available closer to the launch. Interested parties can find additional information on the official website rustmobile.com.
