Deer & Boy, the film platform title from Lifeline Game Studio, is set to release in June 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Publisher Dear Villagers has confirmed the new release window and released a new trailer for the game.
It is an atmospheric adventure that follows a boy on the run and his unusual friendship with a fawn. The game is presented as an interactive story resembling an animated film, with an emphasis on visual style, music, and the emotional connection between the two main characters.
A unique feature of the game will be the development of the deer throughout the adventure. At the beginning, it is a vulnerable fawn that the player must protect, but over time it grows and becomes a stronger companion with new abilities. This relationship between the boy and the deer is intended to be the centerpiece of the entire experience.
The creators announce a combination of platforming segments, exploration, and an emotional story about friendship, loss, growing up, and finding strength in the toughest moments.
