Independent developer Replicant D6 has announced that its retro-inspired FPS title Agent 64: Spies Never Die will be released on August 11 for PC.
The game draws inspiration from titles like 007: GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, and instead of playing as James Bond and Joanna Dark, we will play as secret agent John Walter. The campaign will feature 14 missions and three difficulty settings, with shootouts, stealing secret plans, and rescuing hostages, and we will have the option to play solo or in co-op.
What players remember most about GoldenEye is the multiplayer, and Agent 64 has promised that it will have it too, both in local and online modes. Four players will be able to play deathmatch in split-screen or in their own lobby with eight other players and eight additional computer opponents.
Agent 64: Spies Never Die will also feature over 70 nostalgic settings for gameplay, so older players should find it easy to navigate. A special challenge section will provide us with multiplayer missions against computer opponents where we must achieve a certain number of points before time runs out, and through it, we will unlock new maps, characters, and music.
