Mindscape and studio Floor 84 are working on Dog Man: Bark in Action, a new game based on the popular comic series by Dav Pilkey. The upcoming game will be released this fall for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X/S, and it continues from Dog Man: Mission Impawsible. This time, the game features more than ten playable characters, six new worlds, 60 action levels, and for the first time, local cooperative multiplayer for two players.
The story revolves around the villain Dr. Scum, who has set up Hypno Screens around the city and started controlling the residents. Dog Man and his Supa Buddies will have to save their friends, defeat his henchmen, and restore the city to normal. The game will allow switching between characters like Dog Man, Li'l Petey, and 80-HD, each with special abilities. In addition to the main levels, players will be able to discover hidden Mystery Levels, collect sprockets to unlock gadgets, and yarn to craft new costumes. The visual style remains true to Pilkey's comics, with emphasized humor, vibrant animations, and a family-friendly tone.
