Digital Extremes marked the eleventh edition of TennoCon by presenting the next major chapter of the game Warframe. Warframe: Tau arrives in 2026 as a free upgrade for all platforms, taking players for the first time beyond the boundaries of the Origin System to a new star map located in the Tau system. The central location will be Fornax, a living sentient city marked by continuous black rain, criminal conflicts, luxurious casinos, dirty docks, and decaying neighborhoods. The Tenno will once again meet Albrecht Entrati there and enter into conflict with a crime lord known as The Hunra, who controls the production and distribution of the substance Bloom.
One of the main novelties will be Brysko, a new Sentient Warframe brought back to life by Entrati to infiltrate Hunra's organization. Brysko does not speak, but his inner thoughts are conveyed to players by Matthew Mercer, known for his roles in the series The Legend of Vox Machina and the game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In battle, he uses the boxing weapon Rain & Shine, explosive playing cards, and the revolver Corecracker. Warframe: Tau also introduces a new enemy faction, the Fornax Drowners, an original noir trip-hop song View From the Top performed by Jill Harris, and Portau, the first card mini-game in Warframe's history, with rules inspired by poker.
An autumn update titled Iceblade of Narin was also announced, introducing the 66th playable Warframe, the ice warrior Narin, along with a rework of Banshee and new deluxe looks for Banshee and Qorvex. Citrine Prime Access will arrive in autumn with new Prime gear and cosmetic additions. As early as August, players will receive Amir's Shockwave, a new version of the Nightwave system led by Protoframe Amir. The update includes a mini RPG adventure Fables & Frontiers, the return of the K.I.M. conversation system, cosmetic rewards inspired by the chapter Warframe: 1999, and a new song by the group On-lyne.
Digital Extremes also presented the official collaboration of Warframe with Fortnite. Players who purchase the corresponding Warframe content through the Epic Games Store will receive the Excalibur look in Fortnite, while the song PARTY OF YOUR LIFETIME will become available in the Fortnite Festival mode. At the same time, the Mesa Heirloom Collection with a customizable poncho was released in Warframe. The studio also confirmed the continuation of the TennoVIP World Tour with events in South Korea, China, London, and Glasgow, while TennoCon 2027 will take place on July 16 and 17 in London, Canada.
The finale of the presentation was dedicated to Soulframe, the upcoming fantasy action RPG from Digital Extremes. A new gameplay demonstration showcased additional Warsongs story, the corrupted development path of the main character, a fishing mini-game, and the long-awaited riding system. New voice performances by Ben Starr and Jennifer English, actors known for their roles in the game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, were also presented. The release date for Soulframe has not yet been announced.
