Grove Street Games has opened a new round of beta testing for BeastLink, their large-scale multiplayer sandbox game where human missions, vehicles, and kaiju monsters merge with mass destruction of the urban environment. The open beta is available through the game's Steam page, and runs from May 29, 2026, at 10:00 PM to June 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM Central European Summer Time.
The new beta testing brings a series of optimizations and improvements gathered during the last month of closed testing. Players can try out three playable monsters: the horned lizard, mandrill, and bull shark. A special emphasis has been placed on more dynamic kaiju battles, greater freedom of movement, and improved monster combat.
One of the new features is the Wharf map, where players must watch out for water, but also use ziplines and cranes during battles. A Battle Arena has also been added, a game mode that allows for quick entry into battles with monsters against friends, AI, or completely solo, if a player simply wants to level a city.
The beta includes several game modes. The Tutorial serves to learn the basics of connecting with and controlling the monster, while Hazard Pay brings PvE and PvP missions where players assist scientists in gathering data on wild monsters. Beast Brawl focuses on the fight for control of the city, and Colony Purge puts teams in a race to find and destroy hidden Brute enemy nests.
BeastLink is built in Unreal Engine 5, and Grove Street Games particularly highlights their own SuperDestruction system. This is a fully network-supported physical destruction system that allows for reshaping the map from both the perspective of humans and kaiju monsters. According to the studio, the game features over 250,000 destructible objects and tens of millions of individual parts, enabling the demolition of entire city blocks and turning the environment into tactical chaos.
BeastLink is expected to be released this summer in Early Access for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
