Wargaming, the programmer and publisher of the popular MMO game themed around naval battles World of Warships: Legends, enters the summer with star-studded celebrations. Marking the 250th anniversary of the American Independence Day, players can dive into a themed event full of activities, including a dedicated collection and a calendar filled with numerous rewards. Players can look forward to an American premium battleship in the new themed campaign along with an alternative line of American destroyers that drops anchor in Early Access.
Celebrate 250 years of American independence
Bringing the celebrations to legendary waters, players can immerse themselves in dedicated activities, including the collection Three Eras of Freedom and the calendar Great Chief. Complete all daily calendars to unlock the new captain Ernest E. Evans, as well as three captain skins of famous figures from the glorious days of American naval history. During the update, players can also collect a special event currency, Independium, which can be exchanged for the new legendary-level destroyer USS Burrows, special skins inspired by various periods of American naval history, and skins for new destroyers in Early Access.
A new line of American alternative destroyers storms the seas in Early Access
The game also welcomes a new line of four American alternative destroyers—Kane level V, Hughes level VI, Osborne level VII, and Christopher level VIII. Each of these ships is equipped with Advanced Radar—a feature that offers the advantage of periodic detection of enemy positions on the minimap when within range, even if not spotted. The new ships can be found in special crates Alternative American Destroyers and in the random pack Steel Eagles. The latter can also provide a new premium American cruiser level VIII Cambridge.
Unlock Indiana in the Pacific Hammer campaign
As the July update concludes, players can look forward to a new campaign that challenges them to complete 100 milestones over five weeks. For players who finish the campaign with active support from the Admiralty, the American premium battleship level VIII Indiana awaits along with a multitude of other rewards. Part of the historical class of ships South Dakota, Indiana features powerful secondary guns and an impressive set of consumables, including Repair Party, Sonar, and a choice between Improved Secondary Targeting, Spotter Aircraft, and Catapult Fighter.
All details of the July update can be found in the patch notes.
