Dimps and Bandai Namco have released a new gameplay for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 lasting seven minutes. In addition to showing us how the combat system will work, we also got a glimpse of a mission where our created characters will appear. We will complete missions in a group of four, and besides waves of various enemies, we will also encounter powerful bosses.
As we progress through battles and missions, our bonds with well-known faces from the series will grow, affecting our characters, abilities, and assisting us during fights. The focus of every conflict in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is Ki, the energy we will use for many strong attacks, which we can also steal from our enemies. Our characters will also be able to base their fighting styles on those of legendary fighters like Goku and Vegeta.
The trailer also showcases the Soul Assist system that will allow us to summon some of the legendary fighters to perform their attacks. Our characters will also physically change and adopt the fighting stance of the selected character. For example, we will be able to choose the Saiyan race and transform into Super Saiyan form.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is set to release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S.
