Samuel “Sasmis” Sanin Ortiz is the new/old champion of the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2026, a major competition in the mobile game Tennis Clash that connects the world of tennis and esports. The final of this year's edition took place on May 23, 2026, in the Tenniseum auditorium, as part of Roland-Garros, in front of a packed audience gathered for Yannick Noah Day.
The Colombian player defended his title with a victory against the German representative Eugen “AreidY” Mosdir with a score of 10-6, 10-5, 10-6. This made him only the second player in the history of the competition to win two consecutive titles in the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault.
This year's edition had record numbers. The qualifying phase gathered more than 561 thousand players from 221 territories, with nearly 11.5 million matches played during March and April. The finals brought together eight finalists from different parts of the world, and the competition included a team phase and an individual part with double elimination.
Sasmis showed great stability and calmness in the playoffs and reached the title without losing a set. In the final, he faced AreidY again, his opponent from last year, but once again maintained control over the match and confirmed his status as one of the best players in the history of this competition.
The Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2026 further expanded its international presence through broadcasts on the France TV Sport digital platform, the official Roland-Garros YouTube channel in English, and in Brazil via Disney+ and ESPN YouTube channels. The competition, supported by Renault and Mastercard, continues to strengthen its position among the most important events on the global mobile esports scene.
