3D pixel Wuxia RPG Wandering Sword will not be released for PlayStation 5 on May 28, 2026. Publishers Clouded Leopard Entertainment and Spiral Up Games, along with developer The Swordman Studio, have announced that the console version has been postponed to January 21, 2027.
The reason for the delay, according to Clouded Leopard Entertainment, is related to adjustments in the release schedule for the physical edition. Although the PlayStation 5 version received a release date and confirmation of a physical edition back in November 2025, the game never appeared for pre-order at major retailers. Digital pre-orders are available through the PlayStation Store.
The good news for players on other platforms is that Wandering Sword will also arrive on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and the newly announced Xbox Series X/S version on the same day.
Wandering Sword is an RPG inspired by wuxia stories, Chinese martial arts fantasy, and the classic journeys of young warriors through a world of honor, combat, and personal development.
