On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the beloved platformer Rayman (the first part released on September 1, 1995), Ubisoft announced that two key studios, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, are working together on the future development of the franchise.
Brand producer Loic Gounon pointed out that this is an early research phase (exploration phase), and that new details are not yet available — with the assurance: "Rayman is in good hands", but we should not expect news soon.
In addition, Ubisoft Milan is still in May announced competitions for 3D gameplay animators and senior game designers, stating that a “prestigious AAA title for Rayman” is in the works
Finally, fans can expect retrospectives such as behind-the-scenes footage, anecdotes, interviews and concept art through Ubisoft's shared channels in the coming months.
