After years of rumors and speculation, it seems that the legendary Rayman is finally making a comeback. According to information reported by Tech4Gamers, Ubisoft could officially announce the remake of Rayman Legends as early as this summer, and the project is reportedly generating very positive reactions within the company.
The information comes from well-known insider Tom Henderson, who claims that the game's development "is going very well" and that Ubisoft has high expectations for the return of one of the most beloved platformers of the last decade. The remake is said to retain co-op gameplay and most of the elements that earned the original its cult status among players.
The original Rayman Legends was released back in 2013 and won numerous awards thanks to its fantastic level design, animations, and musical levels. Although it did not commercially reach the level of Ubisoft's biggest hits, the game has built a strong fan community over time and is now considered one of the best 2D platformers of the modern era.
Additional hints about the series' return emerged earlier this year when Ubisoft launched Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, stating that this is just the "first step" in Rayman's return.
It is currently unknown whether this is a complete ground-up remake or a modernized version of the original, but it is speculated that the game could feature online co-op, new areas, improved graphics, and additional content tailored for modern platforms.
Many believe that the Summer Game Fest 2026 could be the venue for the official announcement, especially since Ubisoft has been using its own Ubisoft Forward format less and less for major game reveals in recent years.
