Studio MDHR has announced two new projects from the Cuphead universe. The first is a completely new hand-animated game, which is currently in the early stages of development and does not yet have an official title, release date, or confirmed platforms.
The second project is Mighty Cuphead Adventure, an 8-bit action platformer inspired by games from the eighties. What is particularly interesting is that the game is developed according to the specifications of the Sega Master System console, so it will receive a physical release for the original Sega Master System hardware alongside modern platforms.
The studio has not yet revealed a release date, but they are announcing more information in the coming months. For Cuphead fans, this is a nice confirmation that the series continues in two directions: through a new major hand-animated adventure and through a nostalgic retro project.
