Explore the post-apocalyptic world in Full Circle, a new indie JRPG with a modern pixel-art style and turn-based combat system.

2ndPlayerGames and Deck13 Spotlight have officially presented Full Circle, a new 2.5HD indie JRPG inspired by classics from the first PlayStation era. The game was revealed during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase, and the first playable demo will be available later this year at Gamescom.

Full Circle is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have fled to flying cities to survive threats from the surface. Mutated beasts and monsters roam the planet, while a new generation of young heroes is raised with one purpose: to descend into the wilderness and keep the last human refuges alive. However, after one mission outside the safe walls, the discovery of survivors, rival cities, and hidden truths begins to shatter everything they believed.

The creator of Full Circle describes it as a tribute to the JRPGs he grew up with. Among the main inspirations are Lunar, Breath of Fire, early Final Fantasy titles, and Legend of Dragoon. The goal is to combine the atmosphere and structure of older Japanese RPGs with a modern 2.5HD pixel-art style, a smoother gameplay pace, and contemporary controls.

The combat will be turn-based but with elements of precise real-time timing. Players will be able to chain attacks, discover combinations, and change party members during battles. The team system includes four active and four reserve characters, with the ability to combine equipment, skills, and synergies.

In addition to battles, Full Circle will offer exploration of flying cities, ancient ruins, survivor settlements, and dangerous wilderness. Each character will have special abilities useful in combat, as well as in overcoming obstacles in the world. Taming creatures, collecting ancient technology, and hidden missions have also been announced.
