Tied to the Beat is an unusual blend of rhythm game, arena survivor, and roguelike action where each song can become a new battlefield. The game is coming to Steam on July 31, 2026, and it is developed and published by Javier Lianes García.
The core idea of the game is very simple, but sounds quite interesting: the lyrics of the song directly affect the events on the screen. When a certain word appears in the lyrics, it can trigger a special effect, such as fire, lightning, rain, or darkness. Players choose an instrument, fight against waves of enemies moving to the rhythm of the music, and try to survive increasingly chaotic arenas.
A particularly interesting feature is the ability to import your own MP3 songs, making your favorite music part of the gameplay. Tied to the Beat includes over 200 text-related effects, eight instruments, four themed worlds, various enemies, bosses, and roguelike upgrades. A demo is also available on Steam, so the game can be tried out before its release.
