The independent studio Rio Master has released Tame-a-goat-chi in Early Access on Steam. It is a relaxed desktop game where players take care of a small herd of virtual goats that live at the bottom of the screen.
Tame-a-goat-chi is designed as a pleasant digital companion during work, learning, creative activities, or relaxation. The goats walk, sleep, play, and occasionally seek the player's attention, offering small interactive moments that naturally fit into everyday computer use.
Each goat has its own personality. Some are calmer and more affectionate, while others are mischievous, playful, or attention-seeking. Their behavior changes depending on care, toys, food, and music, so the herd gradually transforms into a recognizable group of small desktop companions.
Caring for the goats rewards players with coins that can be used to expand and customize the pasture. It is possible to unlock new goats, items, toys, interactive structures, and helpers, gradually developing the space through daily interaction.
The game also includes mini-games, light challenges, and random events. Among them are DJ goat parties called “Goat is a DJ,” as well as chaotic situations like the appearance of Goatzille, which adds a humorous and unpredictable tone to the entire experience.
Tame-a-goat-chi is now available in Early Access on Steam, and a free demo is still available for players who want to try it before purchasing. Rio Master plans to add new goats, features, interactions, events, and improvements based on community feedback during the Early Access period.
