The studio pixelcoven has announced HOMEWAVE, a laid-back cozy game designed as a nostalgic "operating system" with a 2D internet, forums, blogs, and messages. Players will decorate virtual rooms, take on freelance orders, and influence clients' moods through design.
HOMEWAVE brings a career as a decorator, various aesthetic styles from cottagecore to weirdcore, conversations with creative users, and a network of virtual internet spaces. The goal is to create a warm, relaxing experience with glassy interfaces, 2D graphics, and pleasant music.
Along with the announcement, an open playtest has been launched on Steam, and the game's release is planned for the third quarter of 2026.
