Dotemu and the development studio Triskell Interactive have announced Theos: Cities of Myth, a new strategy city-building game set to arrive on PC in 2026. This title is inspired by classic city builders from the 2000s and will be particularly interesting to players who remember games like Zeus, Poseidon, and the Pharaoh series.
Triskell Interactive is known for the game Pharaoh: A New Era, a modernized version of the cult city-building classic, and Theos: Cities of Myth continues in a similar direction, but this time through mythological ancient Greece. Players will build settlements in honor of Greek deities, including Athena, Ares, and other powerful gods.
Each city will be dedicated to a specific god, and fulfilling divine wishes will bring special blessings, heroes, and famous historical figures. However, neglecting their demands can provoke the wrath of the gods and seriously jeopardize the city's development.
In addition to the classic management of population, food, housing, culture, and entertainment, Theos: Cities of Myth introduces deeper strategic elements. Players will be able to develop an army, defend against neighboring rivals, or attempt to conquer them in real-time battles. An important part of the game will also be trade, resource management, and expanding the influence of their own colony.
Theos: Cities of Myth features scenarios, missions, and a sandbox mode, along with building tools designed for both experienced players and complete beginners. The game will be released for PC in 2026.
