Saber Interactive has revealed new details about the upcoming survival horror title Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. Through an in-depth look, the game's director Emil Esov guided us. According to him, the team has been working on the game for over 4 years to bring the world of the well-known work into the form of a video game.
The uniqueness of the Hellraiser series is that instead of one, there are multiple evil characters (Cenobites) who are not evil in a moral sense. As their leader Pinhead says in the film, "we are explorers of deeper experiences. To some, demons, and to others, angels." The team that developed the game sees them as monks, because regardless of the amount of pain and pleasure, they are more interested in pushing boundaries.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival follows the character Aidan Lynch whose girlfriend Sunny is killed by Cenobites after he activates the Genesis Configuration, but Aidan learns that he can still save her soul with the help of the aforementioned creatures. On his journey, he will also encounter followers of the cult Scarlet Church led by the enigmatic Marlowe, who, with the help of Genesis and the Cenobites, want to create their own paradise of lust.
Scarlet Church will not be the only obstacle, as there are also beings called the Unworthy, rejected by Leviathan, the creator of the Cenobites, and their goal is to achieve redemption through Genesis.
In addition to using two weapons, Aidan will also have access to Genesis, which will grant him various powers.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is set to release on October 8, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S.
