Discover Dominus Gladiatus, a brutal gladiator school simulator.

The independent development studio Brain Seal has announced Dominus Gladiatus, a brutal simulator of managing a gladiator school set in ancient Rome. The game is scheduled for release at the end of 2026, and it can already be added to the wishlist via Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Brain Seal is a studio known for the Dark Quest series and the game Story of a Gladiator, and the new project returns to the gladiatorial theme, this time through a managerial approach. Players take on the role of Dominus, the master of Ludus, or the gladiator school competing for glory during a dangerous championship season.

Dominus Gladiatus emphasizes recruiting fighters, developing their skills, and making decisions before entering the arena. Players will buy gladiators on the market, train them, equip them for battles, and keep an eye on morale, fatigue, injuries, and discipline. Each fighter will have different advantages and potential, meaning that Dominus will have to assess who is worth investing in and who is expendable.

Fights in the arena will include brutal duels and team skirmishes. Once the gladiators enter the arena, they will fight independently, and their survival will depend on the training, equipment, and preparation they received before the fight. Simply winning will not always be enough, as the audience will also play an important role. The favor of the spectators can determine the fate of the gladiators and who leaves the sand alive.

Throughout the season, players will face rivals, other masters of gladiator schools, through a series of tournaments and challenges. The goal is to build a strong Ludus, create champions of the arena, and secure a name that Rome will remember.

Dominus Gladiatus will support 16 interface languages, along with full English audio and subtitles. The game is in development for PC and PlayStation, with a release planned for the end of 2026.
