UNSEEN, the studio led by Ikumi Nakamura, has announced that KEMURI will be released in 2027 for PlayStation 5 and PC. This is an action game that was announced back in 2023, and the new showcase provided the first concrete look at its gameplay.
KEMURI is set in Kemuri City, a chaotic city on the border between reality and the paranormal. Players take on the role of yokai hunters who make contracts with these beings and use their powers through the so-called Possession Apparel. This changes the appearance, fighting style, and movement capabilities of the character.
The game will support solo play and online cooperative play for up to three players, with a visual style inspired by manga, anime, and hand-drawn illustrations.
