Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic – the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil is coming out on September 9, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
This is a remastered edition of the 24-year-old bullet hell classic from the Touhou Project series, developed by Shanghai Alice Reprise, with publisher Alliance Arts. Players will once again defend Gensokyo from the mysterious crimson mist, facing waves of demons, dense patterns of projectiles, screen-clearing bombs, and special Spell Card abilities.
The new edition features high-resolution visuals, Classic Mode with original gameplay systems, and an unlimited lives option for a more relaxed gaming experience.
