SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Stranger Than Heaven will be released on January 15, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The game will be available from day one through Game Pass.
Along with the release date, new cast members have been confirmed, among which Tupac Shakur stands out. He will appear in the game as the character Amaru, with permission and oversight from his foundation Amaru Entertainment. The studio emphasizes that artificial intelligence was not used in the creation of the character, but rather archival footage and photographs.
Stranger Than Heaven brings an action-adventure from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio that spans several decades, and pre-orders are already open for the standard, deluxe, and collector's editions.
