Home / Previews / The Insider Gaming Showcase brought a series of interesting indie announcements – part two of the overview.

The second part of the Insider Gaming Showcase review brings the most important details about the games My Pet Hooligan, Brimvahl Crown, Project Eclipse, Carrier Cuties, Project Mourning Reign, UNGALAND, Paddler, Ward 107: Silence, Malice in Wonderland, and Monster Mercs.

The Insider Gaming Showcase held on May 28, 2026, featured over fifty showcased games, so we decided to split the overview into multiple parts. After the first wave of announcements, in the second part, we highlight another ten projects that stood out for their ideas, visual style, or unusual gameplay approach. This time, we have a satirical co-op shooter with rabbits, an action RPG with boss battles, a horror game where the monster learns from your decisions, a fighting game with pets in mechs, and several very specific indie experiments.

My Pet Hooligan

My Pet Hooligan is a chaotic third-person shooter-platformer game with roguelite elements, designed for solo play or co-op for up to four players. Players fight against robots and other enemies using a wacky arsenal of weapons, from a toilet plunger-shaped sniper rifle to a carrot dagger. The main goal is to liberate the city from Zuck Corp and its MetaZuckBot, while using skateboards, gadgets, buffs, and various cartoonishly exaggerated weapons during combat. The game particularly relies on fast action, environmental destruction, and a satirical tone.

Brimvahl Crown

Brimvahl Crown is an action RPG from Chubby Puppy Pte. Ltd., announced for PlayStation 5 and PC during winter 2027. Players take on the role of Kazmiel, a legendary Seraph who starts the game at maximum level. Instead of classic leveling, the emphasis is on player skill, learning enemy patterns, and proper use of combat systems. The game focuses on cinematic one-on-one battles against powerful bosses, deep move customization, more than ten sets of armor, crafting, and narrative choices that affect the story, endings, and the difficulty of individual encounters.

Project Eclipse

Project Eclipse is a narrative horror game from Unlikely Heroes Studio, a young team from the Republic of South Africa. Players explore a mysterious object using the Blackwood Interface Module, or BIM, a tool used for navigation, accessing parts of the level, and survival. The module can be upgraded with various functions such as a flashlight, map, and bypass tools. A particularly interesting element is the main monster, whose artificial intelligence learns from previous encounters with the player. This means that the enemy adapts to your playstyle, tries to deceive you, and grows alongside you, while managing energy resources becomes an important part of survival.

Carrier Cuties

Carrier Cuties is a team arena fighting game where everyday pets control powerful mechs. Cornerstone Interactive Studios aims to combine accessible fun of party fighting games with co-op mechanics, destructive arenas, and a hand-crafted, clay-like visual style. The game takes place over three rounds of chaotic battles, and the emphasis is not only on hitting opponents but also on cooperation. Players can collect and share energy cells, initiate team attacks, repair their partner when they fall, activate super moves, use energy shields, and choose different mech weapons.

Project Mourning Reign

Project Mourning Reign is an early project of Iron Root Games, a studio founded by former developers of Zenimax Online after the cancellation of an unannounced project and subsequent layoffs. The game is described as a single-player action-adventure in a solarpunk environment, smaller in scale but with a focus on characters, the world, voice acting, art direction, and writing. Founder Quentin Cobb compared the approach to the first Uncharted, in terms of a more compact experience that serves as an introduction to the world and its characters. Project Mourning Reign has been in development since September 2025, and the team aims to complete a demo by the end of July.

UNGALAND

UNGALAND is an action-adventure platformer set in an original interpretation of a prehistoric world. Players control Oogie, a member of the Bunga tribe, who embarks on a mission through a dangerous island filled with challenges, enemies, and boss fights. During the adventure, primal seeds are collected, which are special seeds that unlock new abilities and help in progression. Mevstudio plans to fund the game through a Kickstarter campaign, aiming to first build the core gameplay, the main campaign, and the game world, and then further expand the project. UNGALAND stands out with its colorful visual style, accessible controls, and dynamic action.

Paddler

Paddler is one of the more unusual games showcased. It is a rhythmic typing adventure where you are a bartender, preparing cocktails by typing ingredients to the rhythm of the music. Players must follow orders, type individual ingredients, and press Enter after each one. If the keys are pressed in rhythm, a combo is built and larger tips are earned, while missing the rhythm decreases the score and can break the groove. The game currently includes well-known cocktails like Mojito, Piña Colada, Mai Tai, Blue Lagoon, and Tequila Sunrise. Notably, Paddler was developed by Zachary Kosma in just 15 hours, using Unity, various creative tools, and AI tools.

Ward 107: Silence

Ward 107: Silence is a first-person psychological horror game where the microphone is a key gameplay mechanic. Players guide Noah, a professional sound technician and collector of vintage audio equipment, through a mysterious facility as he tries to uncover the truth behind Project H.O.P.E. The player's voice is used to solve puzzles, including voice locks, but sound simultaneously poses a danger. The microphone is always active, so real sounds in the room can affect the game. Silence is the main means of survival, as enemies react to noise, and the game combines exploration, document collection, uncovering patient identities, and atmospheric survival horror.

Malice in Wonderland

Malice in Wonderland returns players to a completely different version of Wonderland. Alice is now an adult, the Mad Hatter has become extremely powerful, the Queen has been turned into a stone statue, and the Cheshire Cat has vanished. The Mad Hatter has trapped the entire world in a time loop, and Alice must survive his army and find a way out. The gameplay is a fast-paced action roguelike where time functions as health. In other words, it's not enough to just survive; enemies must be defeated as quickly as possible. Alice uses various powers, combines abilities with the Queen's decrees, and creates powerful combo attacks as she fights through the twisted version of the familiar world.

Monster Mercs

Monster Mercs is a co-op action RPG where players act as mercenaries bound by a debt to the Iron Ledger organization. Missions last approximately 15 to 30 minutes, can be played solo or in co-op for up to four players, and involve monster extermination, escorting, rescue, and defense. A unique feature of the game is the transformation system: after defeating monsters, it is possible to collect their essence and temporarily transform into those creatures, unlocking new abilities and tactical advantages. The game combines short missions, an extraction loop, the risk of losing loot, flexible class progression, and long-term character building.
