Path of Exile II Early Access delayed

Fans of the Path of Exile series will have to wait a little longer. Development team Grinding Gear Games has announced that Early Access for Path of Exile II has been delayed by three weeks, from the originally planned date of November 15, 2024 to a new date of December 6, 2024.

The reason for the delay is not related to problems in the game itself, but to infrastructure work on the servers. The team encountered unforeseen difficulties when integrating the account system between Path of Exile I and II, as well as the console versions of the game. The goal is to ensure that all microtransaction data is compatible between both games, which requires extensive testing and customization.

Jonathan Rogers, the game's director, stated that the decision to delay was difficult but necessary to avoid potential bugs that could negatively impact the player experience. The team plans to hold a livestream in about four weeks, where they will detail the content players can expect in the Early Access version.
