The collaboration was announced at the end of last year, when it was confirmed that Netflix subscribers would receive an official game related to the 2026 World Cup. At that time, an accessible football simulation aimed at a broad audience was announced, but since then, almost nothing has been heard about the project.
The game has not been showcased through images, videos, or more concrete gameplay details, and it is also unknown when it will be available. Development is reportedly led by Delphi Interactive, a studio that recently completed work on the game 007 First Light, but there are no clear updates on the project's status from their side either.
In the meantime, EA Sports FC 26 will receive free content related to the international tournament and stadiums from the host countries, but without the official FIFA visual identity, trophies, and other licensed elements of the World Cup.
