After consoles and PCs, UFL has now arrived on mobile through a soft launch. After the first few hours of playing, I can say that the transition to mobile feels quite solid and that the game leaves a positive impression so far.
The overall appearance of matches, animations, and presentations of UFL looks very good for the mobile platform and closely resembles the versions for consoles and PC, which is noticeable from the very first match.
The menu and UI are simple, everything feels clean and clear enough, it's easy to find what you're looking for, and there's no feeling of being overwhelmed by unnecessary things. The same goes for the controls, which quickly feel natural and are simple enough for the player to immediately focus on the game itself.
As for the content, I particularly enjoyed the new challenge mode, as it is short, clear, and practical to play when you don't have much time. The career mode also left a positive impression and feels like a real refreshment as it provides an additional reason to play beyond standard matches and grinding. Currently, there is also an open tournament that resembles the World Cup format, bringing a slightly different sense of competition and adding extra variety. Other modes are mostly the classics you expect from a football game.
What also left a good impression on me is the overall state of the game during play. I didn't encounter any serious glitches or bugs that would ruin the experience. Occasionally, there are minor server issues. There can be brief pauses, most often after a match, but that's not entirely unexpected considering this is a soft launch and the servers are likely under load.
The only thing I currently miss the most is a greater selection of formations and tactics. I understand that this is a soft launch, but I expected a bit more options for customizing the team and style of play.
I also noticed quite a significant battery drain. At least on my Samsung Galaxy S25, the game drains the battery fairly quickly during play. I don't know if it's an optimization that hasn't been completed yet or if the game is simply demanding, but that's something I would like to see improved by the official release.
It's nice to see that almost every time I enter the game, I'm greeted by some minor update or change, which gives the impression that the developers are really putting in effort and actively working on improving the game during this period. Of course, there's room for improvement here, especially regarding tactical options, server stability, and battery optimization, but the foundation looks promising, and it will be interesting to see how the game develops by the official release.
