FIFA and Netflix Games have introduced FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, a new football game that will be available exclusively through Netflix Games starting June 11, on the day the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins.
The game will allow fans to play as any of the 48 teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, featuring all 16 official tournament stadiums and over 1,200 footballers. The focus is on a simple and accessible gaming experience, regardless of players' previous experience.
A unique feature of the title is mobile phone control, which serves as the controller while the game is displayed on a smart TV. Simply launch the game, scan the QR code, and jump straight into the match.
FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition supports up to four players and is designed as a social experience that allows for quick and fun competition with friends and family. FIFA has also announced that the game will receive new updates after launch that will further expand content and gameplay options.
The title will be available at no additional cost to all subscribers of the Netflix Games service.
