Lovers Dune: Awakening will have to wait a little longer – Funcom has officially announced that the release of the game has been moved from May 20 to June 10, 2025. The reason for the delay? The developers want to further improve the game to ensure the best possible experience from day one.

What can we expect?

  • Early access begins June 5.
  • Big beta weekend in May, where even more players will be able to test the game and provide feedback.
  • Technical improvements – the game will use Unreal Engine 5, including Nanite and Lumen technologies, and support for DLSS 3 and DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen.
  • Final PC requirements are confirmed - the minimum will be required Intel Core i5-7400 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 16GB RAM and GTX 1060.

Funcom stressed that the decision to delay was made to implement key changes discovered during Persistent Closed Beta testing. Also, it was announced live stream in which the developers will present the combat mechanics of the game in more detail.

While the delay may have disappointed some fans, the extra development time could mean an even better game.
