Roadhouse Simulator Prologue impressions – a modest introduction with great potential

Home / Previews / Roadhouse Simulator Prologue impressions – a modest introduction with great potential

The Polish studio has given us "crumbs" in the introduction to their upcoming project, which is announced for the third quarter of 2026.

When we have the opportunity to get an introduction to a game that players will only be able to start playing in the second half of the year, we are extremely excited. How could we not be when we have access to games before most players in the world, and this is an opportunity to experience the vision and effort of the studio that has been meticulously working on the game. DRAGO entertainment is a Polish studio that has been successfully "releasing" simulators for years; their biggest success has been with their game Gas Station Simulator, which has "conquered" players and streamers around the world. Of course, when we got the chance to try the demo version of Roundhouse Simulator from the same studio, we expected more details, but unfortunately, we only received a skeleton of what this game is supposed to be. But let's go in order.

Presentation - the expected look of modern simulators

In a very brief introduction, we could witness a very interesting appearance of the game itself. A typical American small pub next to one of the most famous highways in the world - Route 66 - looks like it fell out of the 1950s. A dirty environment, full of sand, the sun beating down from all sides, and characters that seem to have stepped out of the movie "Grease"; indeed, the Polish developers managed to "pull" me into a world that we can only see in movies and, of course, video games.

The characters look like the aforementioned "greasers" from American culture with slicked-back hairstyles and leather jackets, and on the other hand, we also have a cowboy or two with a southern accent and a preference for alcoholic beverages. The game looks very good, especially for such a simulator, and this is nothing new from the Polish studio. The overall appearance of the game is always spot on, and given the very concept of this game, the presentation definitely makes sense.

Gameplay - very little for an introduction to the game

Introductions to such games should be effective enough to attract players and motivate us to purchase the full version of the game in the meantime. However, it seems that DRAGO Entertainment decided to "throw" their potential players the most minuscule crumbs, which mostly refers to the gameplay itself.

Specifically, the entire gameplay revolves around "beating" a group of various gangs that come to cause trouble and break furniture. So far, up to the moment of writing this article, Roundhouse Simulator has managed to present three elements of its gameplay: 1. fighting with gangs 2. repairing furniture and cleaning up after fights, and 3. setting up and serving beer to guests. And that's it. The demo for Roundhouse Simulator lasts only about 15 minutes, which left me in shock. The short duration of the gameplay itself wouldn't be shocking since demo versions are generally like that, but such a lack of detail in what Roundhouse Simulator is supposed to be is poorly executed. Of course, some players are already complaining, and honestly, I don't blame them for that.

Conclusion - Roundhouse Simulator has a lot of potential but...

The Polish studio DRAGO Entertainment has decided to create yet another simulator that could become a viral hit. The atmosphere reminiscent of classics from American cinema, the game's appearance which is solid especially for this type of game, and of course the mechanics that can be expanded and become something special. However, it seems the studio decided to release this introduction to Roundhouse Simulator too early as they initially managed to create only two elements of the game, which is not good for future players and buyers of this game. Of course, the developers are working daily to add every little detail to this introductory project, but still, it is not enough to generate any kind of "hype" for Roundhouse Simulator which, despite these issues, still has the potential to be a viral hit, especially among streamers.

All in all, the introduction is somewhat disappointing, but it should be remembered that this is not the entire game but just a part of what we should expect in the third quarter of 2026, when the full game is set to be released.
