Naughty Dog has released a free update for The Last of Us PartII Remastered, available at PlayStation5 (patch2.1.0) and PC (patch1.5), which introduces a new Chronological Mode – the ability to play the story in a linear, chronological order The original non-linear narrative remains available for the first playthrough, but this mode provides a fresh experience even for experienced players.
As part of the update, new trophies were introduced as well Uncharted-inspired skins: Joel as Nathan Drake and Tommy as Sam Drake - unlocked after completing the story in chronological mode and can be used in roguelike mode No Return . Various performance optimizations and bug fixes have also been implemented on both platforms
This update comes in the middle of the second season of the HBO adaptation The Last of Us, and the new gameplay gives players an extra incentive to return to the world of Ellie and Abby before the release of a potential third part of the franchise
