MercurySteam and 505 Games have introduced two more features coming to Blades of Fire – Version 2.0. Ahead of the game's release on Steam, the final video in the series showcasing Titanium Difficulty and New Game Plus has been released.
Titanium Difficulty is designed for the most experienced players and presents a significantly tougher challenge. Enemies have more health and armor, deal 20% more damage, and boss fights are further balanced with an emphasis on precise timing and careful weapon management. An additional challenge is posed by the cursed anvil, which can no longer be used for resting or fast travel.
After the first completion of the game, New Game Plus is unlocked, allowing players to replay Aran de Lire's adventure while retaining most of their progress. Skills, upgrades, weapons, blueprints, materials, codex content, Arcana spells, and unlocked skins are carried over, while enemy damage is adjusted to the player's maximum health.
New Game Plus also brings additional rewards for completionists, including two new skins and 27 exclusive forge statues that unlock new weapon parts.
Blades of Fire is currently available for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Version 2.0 arrives on Steam on May 14, 2026, and will also be available as a free upgrade on other platforms on the same day.
