Ubisoft has announced Title Update 1.1.11 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which releases today, June 16, 2026. This is the final content update for the game, bringing a new free story, end-game content, additional Animus activities, new rewards, and a range of technical improvements.
The main novelty is the free story quest Black Tides, in which Naoe and Yasuke find themselves once again targeted by the Templars. Two elite Templars known as Black Cross arrive in Japan, whose mission is not only to hunt the main protagonists but also to search for something that could have broader consequences. To access this mission, players must complete the main story of Naoe and Yasuke and the post-launch tasks A Critical Encounter and A Puzzlement.
The update also introduces a new end-game mode Domains, available to players who have reached level 30. This is a new Animus activity with five simulations and ten levels of challenges, designed to test RPG builds, gear, and combat strategies. Higher difficulties introduce additional gameplay modifiers, and players can unlock new gear, weapons, trinkets, engravings, and exclusive rewards that will not be available in the store or exchange system.
Additionally, crossover projects Riptides and Undertow are available through the Animus HUB. Through these, players can unlock themed costumes, weapons, and other items related to Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. These crossover projects will not be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game.
Title Update 1.1.11 also includes a new Animus Rift called Horizon, improvements to the Animus HUB interface, balancing of gear and perks, quest fixes, gameplay changes, and enhancements to GPU performance in handheld mode on Nintendo Switch 2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, Mac, and Luna.
