Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed a new game lineup coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium subscriptions in July. Among the most notable titles are Rise of the Ronin, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and the cult classic Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.
This month, subscribers can expect a total of nine new titles, two of which are reserved for the Premium subscription.
PlayStation Plus Extra
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS5) – July 21
Rise of the Ronin (PS5) – July 15
Firefighter Simulator: Ignite (PS5) – July 21
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind (PS5, PS4) – July 28
Dying Light (PS4) – July 28
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5) – July 28
Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS5) – July 28
PlayStation Plus Premium
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (PS5, PS4) – July 21
Indigo Prophecy (PS5, PS4) – July 21
Particularly noteworthy is the arrival of Rise of the Ronin, one of the biggest PlayStation exclusives in recent years, while fans of classic titles will surely welcome the return of Psi-Ops and Indigo Prophecy. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora also represents a valuable addition for Extra subscribers, and Citizen Sleeper 2 is one of the most acclaimed indie RPG titles of this year.
Unfortunately, the arrival of new games also means saying goodbye to some existing titles. Throughout July, PlayStation Plus will lose as many as 12 games:
Risk of Rain 2
Tropico 6
Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
Röki
Source of Madness
Cursed to Golf
Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator
Onee Chanbara Origin
Get Even
Bomber Crew
Space Crew: Legendary Edition
Infinite Minigolf
If you have left any of the listed games for later, now is the right time to finish them before they leave the service. On the other hand, the July lineup brings a good balance of major AAA titles, indie hits, and a few pleasant nostalgic surprises, making it one of the better PlayStation Plus upgrades this year.
