The horror franchise Outlast will get its own film adaptation, the development studio Red Barrels has announced that it will join forces with Lionsgate. The film will be directed by Roy Lee with the help of J.T. Pettya, who was the producer of the 2017 horror film IT. Outlast is just another game in the series to get an adaptation, and it's proven to be a lucrative opportunity so far, with Universal's Five Nights at Freddy's grossing nearly $300 million on a budget of just $20 million.
