Shoreline Games recently presented three interesting horror projects at the Midsummer Night's Scream Showcase. Each of them is filled with various terrors, isolation, unusual encounters, and situations based on real life. They revealed: Dreadline Express, Sisters of Solitude, and The Funskin Project.
This first-person psychological horror is set on the last train whose passengers are people. As we travel through this calming world, we will collect cards that will reveal parts of the train's past, as well as that of its passengers. Each encounter will provide a new clue, but the truth will not reveal itself easily. You will have the task of talking to the passengers and assembling a deck of cards before the story fades away. The decisions you make and the secrets you uncover will show how much truth there is, but will help you survive the journey.
Based on a true story, Sisters of Solitude is an isometric pixel art detective horror game that draws its inspiration from the aesthetics of the late 80s and early 90s 8-bit classics. Using haunting chiptune music and dreamy pixel art, you will embark on a twisted investigation of the abandoned monastery The Order of Our Lady of Solitude. A decade ago, four sisters conspired to kill their mother in the dead of night, and shortly thereafter, they were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
This highly stylized isometric survival-horror adventure will take players through the castle of the mysterious Baron Fettuccini after a great storm cancels their journey. We will explore mazes, solve puzzles and riddles, and slowly manage our resources in a title where even the smallest encounter can be fatal. Along the way, we will meet other characters who are trapped in the castle and who will help us uncover the secrets of the mysterious Funskin Project.
