The largest fantasy and science fiction convention Rikon 2025 took place again this year in Rijeka, more precisely at Exportdrvo.
The program was officially opened on Friday, September 27, 2025. at 4 p.m. with short speeches by the organizers and representatives of the institutions that supported the convention.
The hosts of the program, Ivona Pierobon and Matej Poljanić, presented a full-day program for the entire weekend. This included video game tournaments, presentations, dance competitions, and cosplay competitions, a board game zone and an airsoft arena were also opened. In addition to all that, there were also a bunch of stands that were full of figurines, swords, plushies and various other props.
There were a lot of presentations and we simply couldn't visit them all, but we managed to see a few!
Za početak krenuli smo prema Polaris stage gdje bila presentation "Što nas SF uči o nama - homage Aldu Paquoli" gdje smo slušali o tome how su SF movieovi zapravo zrcalo ourg društva naših strahova i nada and ončin istraživanja samih sebe.During the presentation prikazale su se kulturne, političke i tehnološke promjene koje through desetljeća odražava SF žanr. I through to otkrivamo our najdublje strahove i moralne dileme.
After a short break to fill our hungry stomachs at the numerous food stands that were located near the entrance to the hall, we return to talk with the main guests Shauna Harrison and Paula Anne Booker-Harrison, legendary SFX artists known for working on the Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel franchises during their careers. During this presentation we got to know some interesting facts about the different legendary films they worked on and how those films were created by sfx artists.
This was the first of three presentations they would give during the convention.

Treba također napomenuti da su podaci iz this one predavanja dobiveni through projekt GluOne i vlastitim spoznajama autorice.
At the end of the first evening, we headed to the K-Pop Dance competition. During which dancers competed in three different categories: solo, duo/trio and group. The winner at the end of the show was chosen by the jury and the audience.
As the first day of the convention ended, we all headed to Bačva Pub where we had fun at the after party!
On the second day, we started a little earlier and watched how the HEMA organization reconstructed historical fencing techniques that were mostly used in the 13th and 16th centuries. AmerRI fitness center and their trainer Paulo Lazarić with his helpers showed us these techniques
with the necessary equipment.
After a short journey into the past, we headed towards the gaming zone where the League of Legends and FC26 tournaments were held, which hosted the River City games, in addition to those two competitions, on the other side of the hall was also the TCG free play zone where the team gathered to compare their strengths with their docks.
From there, we moved to the Cinema Hall, where we briefly watched short films from around the world that were shown at the Grossmann Festival. It should be noted that these films were rotated throughout the day, so you could come and go whenever you wanted, and you would always find some new films.
After that, we headed to the Arcanum Stage where we participated in the Big Bang Theory vs Friends battleship quiz held by Lada Bogović Božić and Dubravko Bogović. The questions were related to the series Friends and Bing Bang Theory, and the battleship game was used, only instead of guessing the location of the opponent's ship, you had to correctly answer the question on the quiz.
At the end of the quiz, we headed to the center stage where Shaune Harrison and Paula Anne Booker-Harrison performed again, this time explaining how they came up with ideas for building prosthetics in movies, how one can build their portfolio and how to get their first job as an SFX artist.
They also shared with us various anecdotes that happened during filming and how some actors, even though they were allergic to certain materials that go into the masks, accepted roles that often required them to be in a full suit made of materials they were allergic to.

Također smo istraživali moguće scenarije

Sa završewhom te prezentacije zaputor smo se u kino dvoranu where taman emitirao drugi dio "Anthere iscija u Fantasy i SF-u" during koje smo mogli dokazati our znanje. Of raznih starih a classic do modernih saga sve su se mogle pronaći u ovom animiranom quizu.
After that we decided to go back to the main stage where we watched the cosplay competition. The organizers have created two categories, the Apprentice League and the Master League. The Apprentice league is for beginners, while the Master league is for those who already have experience in cosplay and who have already competed at conventions.
Each contestant had up to two minutes to perform on stage to impress the audience and the judges.

Na kparadiseu natjecanja započela je Tombola during koje su se dijelile odlične awards sretnim the winnersma. I za kparadise večeri počela je mala posalistca gdje su djevojke koje su ontjecale during dana mogle nastupati u "Pole dance" sa svojom choreographerijom i akrobacijama na šipci.
This time, the after party was reflected in the Palach Club, where guests could also participate in Karaoke.
