On the occasion of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the popular horror game Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive has finally confirmed the arrival of one of the most sought-after characters among fans, Jason Voorhees. The iconic killer from the Friday the 13th franchise will join the game as a killer on June 16, 2026.
The announcement was confirmed with a short teaser trailer showing Jason entering an abandoned cabin, finding his recognizable machete and the legendary hockey mask that made him one of the most famous horror villains of all time. In the final moments of the video, his reflection can be seen in the window.
Jason thus joins an impressive lineup of horror icons that are already part of Dead by Daylight. Among them are Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, Vecna, the Demogorgon from Stranger Things, Chucky, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, and Leatherface.
Jason's arrival in Dead by Daylight is considered one of the biggest crossover moments in the history of the game. More details about his abilities and gameplay are expected soon.
