The indie scene will once again receive a big moment in the spotlight in mid-July. offbrand games has announced the second edition of the Secret Sauce Showcase, a digital event dedicated to upcoming indie games, which will premiere on July 16, 2026, at 19:00 Central European Time. The showcase is organized in collaboration with Open Sauce, and this year brings over an hour of new trailers, fresh gameplay showcases, and announcements for more than 70 indie games.
According to the announcement, viewers can expect several world premieres, new demo versions, release date announcements, and additional surprises. offbrand games will also present news related to its own projects during the broadcast, including Aethermancer, Demon Bluff, and Rivals of Aether II. The broadcast will be available across multiple channels, including offbrand games, IGN, and Ludwig Ahgren.
This year's edition will not end with just one stream. The Secret Sauce Showcase will immediately continue in collaboration with the team from Convergence Showcase, whose broadcast begins after the main event concludes, at 20:30 Central European Time. This means that on July 16, indie game enthusiasts will have more than four hours of announcements, showcases, and news.
The Secret Sauce Showcase this year also includes a broader program beyond the livestream. From July 17 to 19, 2026, visitors in the SF Bay Area will be able to try selected games live at the Open Sauce Festival, where an indie zone with demo stations, developers, and additional activities will be set up.
For those who cannot attend the physical event, a Secret Sauce Showcase Steam event is also being prepared, which will run from July 17 to 23, 2026. The Steam page will feature games from the livestream, additional indie projects, titles from last year's showcase, and selected projects from the Convergence Showcase.
Last year's edition showed that the Secret Sauce Showcase already has serious potential within the indie scene. Organizers state that in 2025, the event achieved 2 million minutes of viewing, attracted 250 thousand unique viewers, reached 20 thousand viewers at the same time, and helped indie games gather more than 100 thousand new Steam wishlists in just one week.
