The ambitious life sim inZOI is no longer expected on PlayStation 5 during 2026. Developer inZOI Studio has confirmed that the release of the PS5 version has been pushed to the first half of 2027, explaining that the team needs more time to ensure the game is better suited for the console experience.
The studio does not want to simply port the PC version to PlayStation 5, but aims for the controls, menus, and user interface to adapt more naturally to controller gameplay. Special focus will be on optimizing gamepad management, as well as utilizing the features offered by the console, including the capabilities of the DualSense controller.
inZOI is an ambitious alternative to The Sims series, with a more realistic visual style, extensive character customization, building systems, and mechanics that give players broad control over virtual life. The PC version is already available through Early Access, while PlayStation 5 players will have to wait a bit longer.
