Two days ago, we finally found out who the candidates are for awarding the prestigious The Game Awards, as always, players are not happy with the choice of candidates in different categories. However, the category Best Debut Indie Game raised the most dust, where many commented whether Expedition 33 deserved to be there considering the financial resources (Kepler Interactive is their publisher).

For the first time in the history of the award, it happened that a game requested the withdrawal of the nomination, namely the developer of the indie hit Megabonk, Velidad said that it was an honor and the fulfillment of a dream to be nominated, but that his latest project does not belong there, because he created games under different studio names. He recommended the players to vote for other candidates, so Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Despelote and Dispatch will fight for this award.

Our editorial team tried the famous Megabonk, and you can read what we thought about it here.
