If you are tired of showcases where trailers just go one after another, Convergence Games Showcase wants to offer something different. The second edition of this year will take place on July 16, and the focus will again be on indie games and the people who play them.
Instead of a classic presentation, Convergence gathers well-known gaming creators who will watch, comment on, and try out new games live in front of their audience on Twitch and YouTube during a two-hour broadcast. The goal is to give more visibility to titles that often remain in the shadow of big AAA announcements.
The hosts of the event will again be Dodger and Jesse Cox, while the list of other streamers will be revealed ahead of the event itself. Previous editions featured creators like CohhCarnage, ChilledChaos, Gothalion, and Forsen, showcasing over a hundred indie games.
This year's edition will bring dozens of new titles, from solo developer projects to games from established studios, along with world premieres, new trailers, and development stories that rarely get space at major events.
Convergence Games Showcase will take place on July 16, and the broadcast will be available live on Twitch and YouTube. If you are looking for your next indie favorite, this could be a showcase worth following.
