Secret Mode and Fuse Games detailed Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new Star Wars racing title developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, during Summer Game Fest 2026. The game is set to release on October 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and the new trailer provides a better look at the story, rivalries, and dangerous races in the underground Galactic League.

At the center of the campaign are the current champion Kestar Bool and the mysterious challenger Shade. The Galactic League was founded by racing enthusiast Darius Pax in the lawless Outer Rim, but the league is now dominated by the corrupt and well-connected Kestar Bool. Pax therefore recruits Shade, a lone driver with a personal reason to confront the Bool family.

The campaign is designed as a series of repeatable attempts where players choose which events to access. Each decision carries risk, as there is no turning back after selecting a race, and too many collisions can mean the end of the current tour. After failure, the player must prepare again and start over, while only certain perks and unlocked upgrades carry over to the next attempt.

The new trailer also showcased the paddock, a space where drivers gather, exchange stories, offer challenges, and assist Shade on the path to the top. There is also mechanic Hibi, whose workshop allows for the installation of new parts, improvement of stats, and customization of vehicles to different driving styles.

A new location, Derven Acos, was specifically highlighted, an arena built for the Galactic League. It serves as a major final test that combines conditions from all the planets the drivers have previously traversed, making a well-tuned vehicle and plenty of nerves essential for success.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer also brings back legendary podracing, but this time outside the familiar Mos Espa Circuit. Podracers will play an important role in the single-player campaign, and players will be able to try them out immediately in Arcade mode. Special online multiplayer events focused on podracers have also been announced.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer will support one to 12 players and will be available in standard and deluxe editions, both physically and digitally. A collector's edition has also been announced, which will be available exclusively in physical form while supplies last. Pre-orders are already open.
