Relaxing 2D co-op game

If you are looking for a more relaxed co-op game to play with a partner, friend, or family member, Lost in Tandem might end up on your wishlist. Developer Tempete Studio has confirmed that this hand-drawn puzzle adventure is coming to Steam in July 2026.

Lost in Tandem follows an unusual duo, a girl and a cute robot named Mech-ute, who travel together through a post-apocalyptic world in search of answers and a way to complete the robot's mission. Although the game can be played solo, it has been designed from the very beginning as a couch co-op.

The biggest asset of the game at first glance is its visual appearance. The entire world, characters, and animations are created using traditional artistic techniques, giving Lost in Tandem the look of an interactive picture book. Tempete Studio emphasizes that all content was created by artists and developers without the use of generative AI.

Gameplay is divided into five different chapters during which you explore various biomes, solve puzzles, and gradually unlock new abilities for the Mech-ute robot. Along with the main story, players will be able to collect stickers to decorate their mechanical companion, as well as various hidden items that reveal more details about the mysterious world devoid of humans.

A special focus is placed on exploration and cooperation as progress through the world often requires the use of new upgrades and abilities, while puzzles demand coordination between both characters to open the way to new areas.

Lost in Tandem is set to release for PC via Steam in July 2026, and the new trailer already provides a good look at its combination of relaxed co-op gameplay, hand-drawn aesthetics, and an emotional adventure through an unusual post-apocalyptic world.
