Kidbash: Super Legend has been announced for early 2027, and the game will be released for consoles and PC via Steam. The publisher is Acclaim, while development is handled by the Indonesian studios Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon. The exact console platforms have not yet been confirmed, but the game can already be added to the wishlist via Steam, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store.
It is a roguelike action platformer with a claymation visual style, which at first glance aims for the feel of a lost classic from earlier 3D action generations, but with a more modern pace and progression systems. Players take on the role of Kidbash, a forgotten hero with no memory of his past, who is trying to rediscover his identity and purpose.
The story is set in O.D.D., a world inhabited by forgotten characters from video games. After a failed attempt to save the village of Mandala, Kidbash embarks on a quest to find the legendary master Tao Shen Long, but soon discovers that he has also vanished.
One of the main mechanics will be weapon mixing. During battles, players fill a special meter, after which they can combine two weapons into a more powerful version with its own mechanics. Additionally, the game includes random modifications that enhance platforming and combat abilities, and their effects are further tied to weapon combinations.
Kidbash: Super Legend will also feature village building elements and meta progression. Players will assist forgotten characters in rebuilding the destroyed village, with character development and long-term progression being linked to the growth of the community itself.
Acclaim also released a new trailer with the announcement, and according to initial information, Kidbash: Super Legend aims to combine energetic action, the nostalgic spirit of platformers, and a recognizable visual identity into one colorful indie package.
