ArenaNet officially announced Guild Wars 3 during the Summer Game Fest 2026, the new installment of the well-known MMORPG series. The game is presented as a modern evolution of the genre, with a return to Tyria and an emphasis on solo play, socializing with other players, important characters, and the spirits of nature that inhabit Orr.
The first teaser did not show concrete gameplay but hinted at a more colorful and visually lavish direction for the game. It is particularly interesting that Guild Wars 3 will be available on PC and PlayStation 5, which is a significant step for a series that has mostly been tied to PC until now.
Beta testing for Guild Wars 3 is expected to begin in the fall of 2027.
