The CESA Association announced that this year's Tokyo Game Show 2025, held at Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28, attracted a total of 263,101 visitors. The most visited day was Sunday with more than 78,000 people, while last year's record of almost 275,000 remained unreachable.
Under the motto "Unlimited, Neverending Playground", a record 1,136 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions participated in the fair. Visitors had the opportunity to try new titles for consoles, PC, mobile devices and VR, and special programs included an introductory lecture, the awarding of the Japan Game Awards Future Division and an educational cycle Top Game Creators Academy.
The business part was very active with 3,591 official meetings, and the online audience could follow 21 programs via YouTube, X, Twitch and partner channels.
The next Tokyo Game Show will be held from September 17 to 21, 2026, for the first time as a five-day event.
